Yat Mellow Blues is a guitarist, singer-songwriter and guitar teacher from Singapore. Inspired by João Gilberto, Django Reinhardt and Chet Baker, his music is described as jazz and blues pop cafe music with laid-back beach vibes, similar to the likes of Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Norah Jones. As a guitar teacher, Yat Mellow Blues offers online Zoom guitar lessons specialising in jazz, blues and pop guitar.

Yat Mellow Blues has performed at renowned venues across the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, and has graced the stages of festivals such as the Vibe Nation Beach Fest in Vietnam, UNESCO Phuket Jazz Fest, Rammanee Jazz & Blues Festival and Phuket’s International Jazz & Blues Festival in Thailand. He is endorsed by Emiya Guitars and has collaborated with them to design the Mellow Blues archtop guitar series.

As a guitar teacher, Yat Mellow Blues has been teaching since 2010. In 2014 and 2015, two of his students received Certificates of Excellence from Trinity College of London for scoring among the highest in the Trinity Rock & Pop guitar examination. He is certified with Grade 8 in Trinity Rock & Pop Guitar and Grade 5 in ABRSM Music Theory.
